HYDERABAD: The Sindh Taraqi Pasand Party (STPP) announced on Thursday that a university cannot be named after Muttahida Qaumi Movement chief Altaf Hussain. The nationalist party held a protest outside Hyderabad Press Club. The STPP has also announced to challenge the allotment of land for the Altaf Hussain University to be set up in Hyderabad in the court of law. “The MQM has named many buildings, roads and other infrastructure on Altaf’s deceased mother and father but we never raised an objection because we respect them,” said STPP chairperson Dr Qadir Magsi. “But we will not let any educational institution in Sindh to be named after him,” he said while addressing the rally.
