Doing the rounds: APA visits schools in South Waziristan

Distributes torch radios and stationery, took disciplinary action against staff members found absent from their duties

Assistant Political Agent (APA) of Ladha subdivision in South Waziristan Agency Abdul Nasir Khan paid a surprise visit to schools and distributed torch radios and stationery while also taking disciplinary action against staff members found absent from their duties.


The APA visited government middle schools Mandana and Murghiband along with Government High School Kotkai on Wednesday on the special directives of FATA Additional Chief Secretary (ACS) Muhammad Azam Khan.


During the visits, three teachers were found absent from their duties in Government High School Kotkai. Authorities were then directed to initiate disciplinary action against them.


APA Nasir also distributed 144 torch radios and stationery gift packs among the students of three schools. Later, he also visited civil dispensaries of Mandana and Kotkai to inspect the work of the medics and availability of medicines.


He visited the under-construction community health centre in Mandana to assess the quality of construction work along with the construction work of Civil Veterinary Dispensary Murghiband, Drinking Water Supply Scheme Murghiband and Kalu Raghza and Shingle Road in Mezhiwam, directing the officials to pick up the work pace.
