Sanctity of institutions: PTI, PML-N told to resolve issues
Shah advises both parties to resume their talks for solution of all issues
ISLAMABAD:
Opposition Leader in National Assembly Khursheed Shah said on Wednesday that issues should be discussed and resolved in the Parliament, the only appropriate forum, in line with the law and that the constitution and not at D-Chowk. “We want that all decisions should be taken only by the democratic institutions (Parliament) and not at D-Chowk,” Shah said. He was referring to the tug of war between the ruling PML-N and the protesting PTI over allegations of rigging in 2013 general elections. Shah advised both the parties to resume their talks for the solution of all the issues. Addressing a seminar organised by his party’s Human Right’s Cell, Shah pointed out that a candidate with second highest votes was declared winner in Sindh whereas re-elections were suggested on rigging allegations in Punjab. Why was a dual policy maintained by the election tribunal in two provinces, he questioned.
