The multiple clashes we saw in Faisalabad could so easily have been avoided. Things had indeed remained peaceful late into the morning, when PML-N activists allegedly initiated a confrontation. While the federal information minister has accused the PTI of creating chaos by forcibly trying to shut down schools and shops, the fact is that the primary responsibility for keeping public order rests with the government. The right to peaceful assembly is constitutionally granted, and it does appear that the PTI had initially attempted to remain orderly. It is unknown why the PML-N workers were not prevented from confronting them, leading to ugly scenes as the police used tear gas and water cannons to disperse the protesters. The actions brought Faisalabad to a virtual standstill. There is now apprehension that such incidents could be repeated in other places. The PTI needs to play its role in maintaining calm. More responsible behaviour from the party could have helped contain the violence in Faisalabad. The priority now must be to prevent such incidents from recurring as the party continues its protests across the country. The government and the PTI, for the sake of maintaining calm in the country, must return to the negotiating table before the political situation spirals completely out of control.

Good point....why was police not keeping the protesters apart. There are even pics of police standing by while a gunman is firing around. Answer: police are heavily politicized in Punjab, almost an extension of PMLN's gullu brigade.
Problem is, PMLN think that PTI is still a facebook and burger party, and they think that a few of their gullus can scare PTI away. But they fail to realize that PTI got 7m votes in last elections, and since then has only grown in popularity. And when the so called PTI burgers didn't back off when faced with gullus, PMLN panicked and brought out the guns....
I don't understand gullu logic of PMLN. On one hand they say IK wants to do politics on dead bodies, and then they go ahead and provide the dead bodies!
If PMLN had just stayed away, the lockdown would have been half as successful and twice as peaceful. But I can guarantee that PMLN will make the same mistake in Lahore. They are incapable of learning and coming out of the 90s.
This situation which emerged in our beloved Pakistan is a harmful and dirty-mind people's thoughts result. If we involve so many days in this situation we would become the worse nation of this world and also banned in so many advanced countries. So please become truly patriot and should be ahead with better policies and play a positive and sincerely role in the economy of our country. I and also my nation appeal with our leaders that please forbade these worse policies like plan c and d and mediate on the table talk and solve this issue with a positive mind. i hope that in future we become a gentle nation of this dream world.
This is another proxy war by the Pakistani army ... this time, against the domestic political powers ... !!
In a country which has no strong democratic traditions, leaders should not excite peopel to an extent that the weak system spills over. And that is what one party is doing. The other one in power is refusing to budge an inch. This can lead only to chaos and anarchy. Pakistan has had army take overs for smaller reasons and all parties must show flexibility. That is not happening. I do not like the rhetoric of IK, but NS must take notice of what is happening. He should offer independent recounting of disputed areas and should also consider to offer to resign to save the system, if he has any interest in not killing the system.
There are many problems: (1) Everyone knows that it was the Army that promoted and PTI. Gen. Pasha's role is known to all. (2) Army thought of coming back to power again but also knew that this time around it cannot come to power and even if it comes to power it can do nothing unless it has the support of political parties like PML-N and PPP. In fact, and they knew it well, that it will be disastrous for the army and also Pakistan if Army comes to power when PML-N and PPP are opposed to it. (3) Army also knew that without support of political parties they can never eliminate terrotists and if the terrorists are not eliminated they will be killed by the terrorists. (4) Political parties were not sure which way army will go. They never trusted the army and they wanted to make as much money and syphon it off the country as quickly as they can. So, corruptions increased. PML-N started to sell the country to China, Turkey, Qatar, Oman, UAE and KSA. Probably they may have gone slow on corruption if they had some confidence that they will be around for some time. (5) PTI thought they have the power to force the government out and Imran Khan thought that he can become the Prime Minister. They did not expect that the government will fight till the end to remain in power because if they are out of power, leaders of political parties have leave Pakistan or shall be tried and executed in Pakistan. (6) Judiciary, lacking wisdom and intellect, and indoctrinated to a great extent, was also a spoiler.
