ISLAMABAD: Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly Khursheed Shah on Tuesday said it appears that the ruling Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz government wishes to make Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chairman Imran Khan a leader.
Criticising the government’s handling of the PTI’s call for a lockdown in Faisalabad, which led to the death of a PTI activist in violent clashes on Monday, Shah said such tactics were turning Imran into a hero in the eyes of the public.
“When workers of parties clash it creates a civil war-like situation which is very dangerous.”
“Just as PML-N had shut offices in Gujranwala, they should have done the same in Faisalabad to avoid conflict,” he added.
“The government makes mistakes themselves and then blames the establishment for creating problems,” Shah claimed, urging Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to “open his eyes.”
“Nawaz Sharif’s own team has created problems for him,” the Pakistan Peoples Party stalwart alleged, while speaking to media representatives in his chamber.
Further, Shah said the government and Imran should realise that if the situation worsens they along with the state will suffer.
Shah reiterated that dialogue between the government and the protesting PTI was the only way to end the current political impasse.
“[Finance Minister] Ishaq Dar called me and informed me about the government’s willingness to negotiate,” he said.
Further, regarding the PTI’s call for a shutdown in Karachi on December 12, Shah said, “They can protest peacefully but we will not allow anyone to create chaos and violence.”

dont worry shah sahab He will never become a hero even after PML(N) wrong handling. some one must have guts to become a leader but not a greedy like IK who has only one aim to become PM with support of 3rd Umpire. 3rd umpire is still working atleast by influencing media but he will fail as ONFIELD umpire has the maximum might and that is public. express tribune if you have guts to block my comments than do it but let me know the reason.
@Kazmis: I wonder what you are talking about, PTI's popularity is gaining momentum day by day. It is in fact going to fill the gap created by the failure of PPP &PML(n). If one does not like someone for reasons of their own, they should not give misleading comments. I know my comments are never displayed, I wonder why.
He is a leader. Imagine building a hospital for people. That one humanitarian quality puts him above the rest. If he was an Indian, he would have been a minister of cabinet rank with a plum portfolio and all parties would be chasing after him. Aadmi khubsoorat hai, dil aur shakl sey.

few people on here commenting regarding Imran being influenced by foreign forces; are watching too many bollywood films. How blind are those, that oppose PTI ?? can they not see Pakistan has/is/willbe bankrupted/looted by those very people that are sat in Parliament for decades ???
I am not favouring any political party and only a Pakistani citizen but I think there are some rules for every player in all fields of life. Is not not a irony that when you win you appreciate and celebrate it and when lose you did not accept it and call it rigging. The notorious people when join hands with you, they become angles and those who oppose you are your foe and corrupt. Its not fair. If EC is not good and fair why you did not make cry in 2002 and 2008 election. How, all those people who were elected by this corrupt electoral system became innocent. Now its better for us to keep patience and wait for the turn. But my friends Behold that this world is not eternal, we have to be answerable for our deeds and if we support a person who is not fair, then we will have to face the punishment of his sins also. Therefor for God sake don't destabilize this country. Join hands with all those who are your friends and foes and make EC a strong and an independent organisation so that no one can deceive you. Imran Khan is already one of the biggest leader in the world. He is the best role model and I see kids and teenagers teaching each others of 1) Speak always the truth 2) Justice for all is equal 3) Fear no one but Allah and ask his help. This what he has given the nation who is believing in him.
Both Status-quo parties are genuinely worried that if IK becomes the next PM, they will be dented massively and will require a long time and change in their approach to become strong enough to rule the country again. The ball is in the nation's court, they will not have this golden chance to fix the country for decades.

yes i am a pti support and i think mr khursheed shah is absolutely right and the strange thing is that PML is not learning from it's mistake.Lahore will tell that they had learned anything or not.
