The former military chief was charged in March this year for subverting and circumventing the Constitution by imposing emergency in the country on November 3, 2007 - charges he denies.
Musharraf had requested the court for inclusion of co-conspirators in the investigation. The special court on November 21 partially accepted the plea with majority vote.
As per the order, former prime minister Shaukat Aziz, ex-federal minister Zahid Hamid and former chief justice Abdul Hameed Dogar will be tried along with Musharraf for the 2007 emergency.

Does this mean that Nawaz Sharif wants to submit the top brass of the Pakistan army including the current COAS? If he does, he deserves to stay on as the head of the Governent.

@Liaqat Ali: And how do you know Musharraf was the main perpetrator, and who made you the court? How do you know it was not the law minister who advised the prime minister, how do you know it was not the prime minister who advised the president, how do you know it was not the cabinet who asked the law minister to come up with the process? All this is for the court to look into and that's why they have asked for the investigation to be expanded. Investigating and charging one person alone is simply vendetta. Whether this action was legal or unconstitutional is a whole different matter that the court will have to finally decide after all involved have been charged.
Love you Sir Musharraf.
The main conspirator /perpetrator who coerced /bribed others to go alongwith him must be tried separaetly . Others must also be tried but for lesser crimes .the main trial must not be put on hold for trivia.
It is all unnecessary exercise for a poor nation like us,waste of time and money !
