Without warning: Twitter accounts of JuD, its chief suspended
Party’s spokesman blames the Indian govt for this act

The official Twitter accounts of Jamaatud-Dawa (JuD) and its chief Hafiz Muhammad Saeed have been suspended by Twitter without any prior warning or notification, the JuD office bearers said on Monday. The group has blamed India for the suspension.
“Through his Twitter account Saeed has always tried to promote welfare projects and used it to raise a voice against the atrocities of the Indian government on innocent Kashmiris. His personal account, as well as JuD’s official account, were deleted without any prior notice or warning,” Yahya Mujaid, spokesman of JuD said.
He said deleting Twitter accounts was against the freedom of expression. “We will keep unearthing terrorism of India. This step by Twitter has proven that those who are torchbearers of truth and democracy cannot tolerate truth. This is our victory. Even if Twitter and Facebook delete our websites even then our teachings will continue to prevail,” Mujahid asserted.
JuD Deputy Information Secretary Nadeem Awan told The Express Tribune that earlier Facebook had deleted dozens of their pages through which they shared information about JuD’s welfare projects and replied to the propaganda campaigns being run against them.
“This is done on the pressure of Indian government. Some Indian journalists are even taking credit of it that they got these accounts deleted,” Awan maintained.
“On the official Twitter account of Hafiz Muhammad Saeed there were 26,000 followers from across the world. It included senior journalists, analysts, intellectuals and international personalities,” said the JuD spokesman.
