Quaid-e-Azam Trophy: Leopards need just three wickets to win against Tigers

Islamabad side was dismissed for 54 in its first innings but bounced back.

Islamabad Leopards are just three wickets away from recording a memorable win against Multan Tigers in their Quaid-e-Azam Trophy Gold league match.

Leopards were dismissed for just 54 in the first innings, with Muhammad Asif claiming 8-19. However, they rallied back by dismissing Tigers for 121 and then made 575 in their second innings. At the end of the third day’s play, Tigers were 154-7 as Zohaib Ahmed took 4-52.

Meanwhile, Rawalpindi Rams defeated Lahore Lions by seven wickets after claiming a 93-run first-innings lead. Lions made 219 in their second innings to set Rams a simple 127-run target, which they made in 30.3 overs.

ZTBL are struggling against National Bank after ending the day on 135-7 in their second innings, just 42 runs ahead.

Peshawar Panthers are in a similarly poor position as they conceded a 254-run first-innings lead against Karachi Dolphins. Panthers finished day two on 56-1, as their match was delayed by a day.

SNGPL ended the day on 181-1, 152 runs ahead of PQA in their second innings but the match seems to be heading for a draw going into the final day.

UBL were 143-5 in their second innings at stumps on day three, having gained a 65-run first-innings lead as well.
