Today’s big question: Will Mumtaz Bhutto revive the SNF?
SUKKUR:
Mumtaz Bhutto, after his return to Pakistan from the United Kingdom in a couple of days, will decide whether to revive the Sindh National Front (SNF) or to join hands with the Pakistan Muslim League - Nawaz (PML-N) in Sindh or with the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI). On Sunday, a meeting of the Central Executive Committee of the former SNF was held in Larkana. The party’s vice chairperson, Ameer Bux Bhutto, presided over the meeting. More than 100 members attended and a majority of them pressured the party leadership to part ways with the PML-N as it has failed to fulfil its promises regarding the rights of Sindh. The meeting agreed that the decision about the revival of the SNF or otherwise will be taken by its chairperson Mumtaz Bhutto. The Express Tribune has also learnt that Mumtaz Bhutto had first attended a meeting with the senior leaders of the PML-N such as Syed Ghous Ali Shah, Liaquat Ali Jatoi and others, after which he left for London for treatment. The meeting was further informed that the PTI has contacted the leaders of the SNF and it will be decided by the senior members who to join hands with.
