Asphyxiated: Paramedic dies of gas leakage
ABBOTABAD:
A paramedic died of asphyxia due to a gas leakage in Officer’s Colony, police said on Saturday. Police identified the deceased as Qasim Shah, a technician at Ayub Medical Complex. Salim, the deceased’s friend, said Shah had returned to his room on Friday evening after finishing his duty. Before going to sleep, he had left water to boil on the heater. After some time, the water fell on the heater and resulted in a gas leakage. The next morning, Salim knocked on Shah’s door but he did not respond. Salim and his colleagues eventually broke into the room and found Shah’s body. Autopsy reports confirmed asphyxiation to be the cause of death.
