Three bodies were found dumped near a seasonal river in Pishin district, about 75 kilometres north of Quetta, Friday evening.
The bodies were three to four days old. “Some people of Mistarzai village spotted the bodies and informed the Levies post at Thana Yaro,” an official of Pishin Levies told The Express Tribune.
The bodies were shifted to the Civil Hospital where medics said they were strangled to death. The hands and feet were tied with rope when the bodies were found. The victims were tortured before being tied and strangled.
“There were multiple marks of torture on the bodies,” a doctor at the Civil Hospital told reporters. The identities of the deceased could not be known yet. One of the victims is said to be in his early 50s while others are in early 30s. Around 10 bodies have been found dumped in Pishin during the last two months.
