Combined income group: Inflation falls 0.89% week-on-week
SPI for the lowest income group stood at 204.47 points against 205.84 in the previous week
ISLAMABAD:
The Sensitive Price Indicator (SPI) for the week ended December 4 registered a fall of 0.20% over the previous week for the lowest income group. The SPI for the group stood at 204.47 points against 205.84 in the previous week, according to provisional figures released by the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics. The SPI for the combined income group declined 0.89% from 214 points in the previous week to 212.10 in the week under review. Compared to the corresponding week of last year, the SPI for the combined income group dropped 0.38%. During the week, average prices of 18 items in a selected basket of goods fell, prices of eight items rose and rates of remaining 27 recorded no change.
