The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a statement that air raids were conducted against militants in the ongoing military action Zarb-e-Azb in the early hours of Thursday. A number of militants’ sanctuaries were flattened.
Though the ISPR didn’t give further details, the tribal sources said the militants killed in Thursday’s airstrikes included four Uzbeks and four important commanders associated with the Shura of Hafiz Gul Bahadar.

The shelling also caused injuries to a number of militants.
Meanwhile, Frontier Corps (FC) and Khasadar Force arrested some 157 suspected militants in a search operation in the Ash Khel area of Landi Kotal on Thursday.
Tayyeb Abdullah, the assistant political agent (APA), said that the operation was conducted jointly by the FC and Khasadar force.
The APA said that a total of 157 suspects were arrested in the operation and shifted to FC fort for further interrogations.
Contrary to claims of Federal Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa government has confirmed that Islamic State grouping poses a serious threat to its security. K-P Secretary Home and Tribal Affairs Syed Akhtar Ali Shah named at least 10 militant/terrorist groups operating in the province.
