Balochistan unrest: Two constables shot dead in Quetta

SP Imran says one died on spot and the other during treatment at Bolan Medical Teaching Hospital

QUETTA: Two policemen were shot dead by unidentified assailants near a roadside eatery in Shalkot, an outskirt of Quetta, on Wednesday. “Head Constable Zahoor Ahmed and Constable Rahim Dad were part of the recently introduced motorcycle squad and were having their meal after routine patrol,” SP Imran Qureshi said. One died on the spot and the other during treatment at Bolan Medical Teaching Hospital, Qureshi said. The attackers left the scene unchallenged. Police said that the motive behind the killings has yet to be ascertained.
