Unemployment: Man commits suicide due to poverty

HARIPUR: A young man reportedly committed suicide in a village of Ghazi tehsil due to abject poverty, police said on Tuesday. Abbas, a resident of Thalikot, told the police his son Mujahid, 20, was unemployed since the last few years despite several attempts to land a job. Abbas added Mujahid was suffering from depression as a result and consumed rat poison on Monday afternoon. He was rushed to Tehsil Headquarters Hospital and was later referred to Rawalpindi General Hospital where he died Tuesday morning.
