FAISALABAD:

The International Handball Federation (IHF) has asked the Pakistan Handball Federation (PHF) organisers to extend the visa of the Indian players participating in the IHF event that commences on Wednesday in Faisalabad, otherwise they will be imposed penalties and fine in accordance to the IHF rules and regulations.

“I must remind you that as organiser of an IHF event you have the obligation to provide all participants with a visa. Failure to do so is punishable according to the ‘Regulations for Penalties and Fines of the International Handball Federation’,” said IHF Sports Director Hristo Boskoski Taki.

IHF Asian Chapter Secretary General, Hajji Muhammad Shafiq, told The Express Tribune that all the teams have already reached the venue except India as the interior ministry has not given clearance to the Indian players for participating in the event.
