The cell will work on dispute resolution and also monitor complaints or inquiries against political administration officials. It will look after social and political issues that fall under no legal jurisdiction in the belt.
A document available with The Express Tribune stated that a meeting chaired by Deputy Secretary Muntazir Khan agreed upon the establishment of the cell following multiple complaints from tribesmen over several issues.
The cell will look to resolve disputes on administrative grounds in all seven agencies and six frontier regions. It will also monitor the disbursement of development funds and NGO donations and address discrepancies, if found.
An official of the Fata secretariat said the basic aim of the cell is to curb corruption in Fata, as well as to give tribesmen their due right.
