Elections in Kashmir a fraud, says Hurriyat leader

ISLAMABAD: All Parties Hurriyat Conference Syed Ali Geelani termed the recently held elections in Indian Kashmir a fraud and claimed that they had been manipulated with the help of police and armed forces.

In an interview to the Kashmir Media Services, Geelani said, "It has been proven beyond doubt that elections are being held under the shadow of gun and these elections can in no way be called peaceful and democratic."

Criticising the Indian police chief’s statement that he would crush APHC’s anti-election campaign, Geelani termed it as an act of state-terrorism.

"Despite turning Gandarbal and Bandipora into an army garrison, the people and youth protested and expressed their resentment," he said. The Hurriyat leader reiterated his appeal for election boycott and called for protests in other districts on the day of so-called elections.

Describing the on going elections as a meaningless exercise, the APHC in a statement said, "Staging the drama of elections under massive military cover and false promises of development can not change the historic reality over Jammu and Kashmir, which has to be ultimately resolved as per UN resolutions."

even sheikh Abdulla and family is a gang. One son represented the western neighbour in UN 1964. Brother in Law Gul Shah used militants to remove Farooq Abdulla. Mustafa kamal talks in a language, which even cyber code specialist cannot understand. It says give my people money so that they dont create trouble.. PDP founder parted ways with the sheikh in 1970. In 1990 when appointed home minister he even apologized to militants. kuka parrey was counter militant to 3/4th militant, to half militant to full militant. When we have a problem we should not blame Pakistan or readers who get irritated. Sajjad lone has sensed an opening ?

70% voting under the hawkish eyes of International observers is a clear signal for this fool that election is a reality. He wants only one thing that Kashmir be named as Islamic Republic of Kashmir with him as its CEO. He considers others as fool. No doubt he has the backing of Pak as they also want to bleed India and not settle the Kashmir issue. This old man must realise that Pakistan is not their friend but an opportunist with a different agenda.
