Pakistan reach hockey semi-finals

Pakistan beat Bangladesh by 6-1 to qualify for the semi-final spot at the Asian Games.

Pakistan on Sunday beat Bangladesh by 6-1 to qualify for the semi-final spot of men's hockey at the Asian games in Guangzhou, China.

Muhammad Imran, Shakeel Abbasi and Sohail Abbas scored two goals each for Pakistan, and Taposh Barmon scored the only goal for Bangladesh.

Pakistan was leading the game by 6-0 up to the 63rd minute, after which Bangladesh successfully scored the goal.

Earlier, Pakistan was defeated 3-2 by India, making this a crucial match to win.

The semi-final will be played on November 23.
