Local traders have to bear huge losses due to political rallies in the capital and the accompanied road blocks.
This was stated by Muhammad Ejaz Abbasi, president of the Traders Welfare Association Jinnah Super Market who called upon the government to urgently resolve the impasse with Imran Khan through dialogue to save businessmen from further difficulties.
According to a press release, Abbasi, who is also the former president of the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry, said the call for a ‘historic’ rally on November 30 has caused concern in the business community.
He stressed that government should settle all political matters through the process of negotiations and put complete ban on political protests in the federal capital to avoid any disturbances to business activities.
He claimed the local administration has started confiscating containers warned them to avoid using such tactics, otherwise, a meeting of traders would be called to finalise a future strategy to get rid of political sit-ins and protests once and for all.
