The tests will be held in the second week of February under the Federal Directorate of Education (FDE), stated a notification.

Students from private institutions registered with the Private Educational Institutions Regulatory Authority (PEIRA) are also eligible to appear in the examinations.

The normal fee for admission in primary class is Rs250 and the last date for submission is December 15. For admission in middle school classes, Rs300 is the fee and Rs350 incase of late fee. The last date for submission is December 22 while for middle schools the admission fee is Rs450 with the same date.

The admission fee will be submitted to FDE with a written request form filled by the head or principal of the institute. Admission forms of private institutes will not be accepted by FDE without a valid registration certificate issued by PEIRA. List of the examination centres and date sheet for the said examinations will be announced at a later date.

According to the CADD notification, 500 scholarships (250 each for girls and boys) will be awarded by the FDE to talented students on basis of the examination results and the availability of funds.

For the past two years, students awarded scholarships have not paid the grant on time, with the reason cited for the delay being shortage of funds.
