Famine in Tharparkar

KARACHI: As Thar has been neglected for the past many years by successive governments, famine has exacerbated the situation there. The state of affairs has worsened to a dangerous level, with the death toll rapidly increasing. Malnutrition has been reported as the cause of death of innocent children.

The government must take immediate measures to provide the people with relief. The people of Thar are waiting for a substantial response from the authorities even as they see their children dying daily. The situation has been deteriorating by the day, but no one seems to be taking responsibility for this.
