Demand for justice: 'Kot Radha Kishan killings a test for the govt'

PIL chairman and former judge of the federal Shariat distributed food rations to Shehzad and Shama’s families

Pakistan Interfaith League (PIL) Chairman Sajid Ishaq and Justice (ret) Abdul Waheed Siddiqui, former judge of the federal Shariat court visited Kot Radha Kishan on Friday.


The chairman distributed food rations, winter bedding, kitchen sets, hygiene kits and gas stoves to Shehzad and Shama’s families.


The Christian couple and child were killed at brick kiln by a mob on November 4.


Ishaq said PIL had demanded formation of a judicial commission and formation of a joint inquiry committee which should include Justice (ret) Abdul Waheed Siddiqui so that the findings could be transparent.


He said but no action had been taken in this regard.


Ishaq said the incident was a test case for the government as it was the complainant in the case. He said some people were forcing residents of the area to not support the government in the investigations. He said action should be taken against them.
