
The Capital Administration and Development Division (CADD) has ordered five of the capital’s colleges to abolish evening shifts to morning sessions.
According to a press release issued on Thursday, CADD Minister of State Barrister Usman Ibrahim has ordered to shift evening classes in Islamabad Model College for Boys (IMCB) H-8 and IMCB H-9, IMCB I-8/3, IMCB F-10/3 and IMCB G-11/1 this week and students would be accommodated in the morning sessions of these schools and colleges, “We are in the process of abolishing evening shifts in model colleges gradually, as it is not a matter which can be accomplished in a day or two,” he said.
The minister has also directed officials to prepare a PC-I to construct additional classrooms for the evening shift students in the available space in the rest of the 15 model colleges and submit the proposal with the ministry next week for approval.
A survey and feasibility report have already been prepared for the purpose.
