According to Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), “Pakistani troops responded befittingly to Indian firing.” the statement added.
The crossfire come after a lull in fighting between India and Pakistan after weeks of heavy shelling and gun battles across the border that killed at least 21 people on the Pakistani side.
Earlier, on November 17, a civilian and resident of Akhori village, Ghulam Muhammad, was injured in the firing as Indian forces resorted to 'unprovoked' firing.
The ongoing spate of attacks between the two countries has been the worst in years.

Please come out of kashmir and India fixation. It has only brought you deprivation and misery. Be contended with your part of kashmir. Dont make Islam a reason for fighting for kashmir . India has 200 million muslims and they have rejected two nation theory so have bangladeshi muslims . Given a chance Balochi muslims also would go the same way. Please grow up and dont talk of weapon upgradation , afterall all stalwarts like liaqat ali khan, Ayub khan , yahya khan , zia ul haq , Mr Musharaf , Benazir did not achieve anything by militarization of pakistan.
@Chachoo:
True.
Pakistan army needs upgrading. Cut down education, healthcare and invest in night vision goggles and snipers.
to get number of people killed on india side, you have to read indian paper
Just like Pakistan Army is heavily involved in modernizing Housing Schemes like DHA and Askari housing they should equip our soldiers with Modern weaponry as well. Indian Army recently employed Snipers in their ranks and they usually took the Pakistani soldiers by surprise. Our Army Soldiers lack basic night vision equipment. They lack infrared mounted displays and basic surveillance equipment.
How come our Army have responded in any manner when all the Injured and Killed belong from the Pakistani Side of the Border? The age old G-3s assault rifles which were unveiled in 1959 should be replaced with new accurate and recoil-less rifles. The current G3s, Ak-47 etc are inaccurate, lack the range and make our soldiers just like sitting dicks in front of Indian counter parts who employ modern weaponry. I am a Patriotic Pakistani but my eyes remain open all the time. Our Army is now lacking in front of Indian Counterparts. They lack professionalism and they are not answerable to anyone that where the budget is going for all the purchases. The Indian Army is making adventures because Our Army is failing to respond in a timely and accurate manner.
