Workshop: Symposium on renal pathology held

LAHORE: Fatima Memorial Hospital and the FMH College of Medicine and Dentistry Pathology Department’s second annual Renal Pathology Workshop and Symposium came to a close at the hospital on Wednesday. More than 100 nephrologists, transplant surgeons and pathologists from across the country attended the two-day conference. The keynote speakers at the conference were King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Centre Senior Consultant Dr Mohammed Akhtar, FMH College of Medicine and Dentistry Visiting Professor Dr Muhammad Mubarak, Professor of Pathology Javed I Kazi, Dr Raja Rasib, Dr Romena Qazi, Dr Humaira Nasir and Dr Imrana Tanvir. FMH College of Medicine and Dentistry Principal Humayun Maqsood inaugurated the event. Prof Sabiha Riaz, head of the Pathology Department, gave the welcome address. Experts spoke on minimal change diseases, nephropathy, renal transplant and renal rejection.
