Army personnel leave Islamabad's Red Zone
Sources within interior ministry say army might be called again if security situation deteriorates
ISLAMABAD:
As per the orders of Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, army personnel deployed in Islamabad's Red Zone area were asked to leave, Express News reported Wednesday.
The army deployment came on July 24 in accordance with Article 245 following the commencement of Operation Zarb-e-Azb.
Army personnel were deployed for the protection of important state buildings located in the area.
Sources within the interior ministry said the army might be called again if the security situation deteriorates.
