Pakistan successfully test-fires Hatf-IV ballistic missile

RAWALPINDI: Pakistan today conducted a successful test launch of Intermediate Range Shaheen 1A (Hatf IV) Ballistic Missile.

The successful launch was aimed at re-validating various design and technical parameters of the weapon system. Shaheen1A Missile is capable of carrying nuclear and conventional warheads to a range of 900 kilometres.

Today’s launch, with impact point in Arabian Sea, was witnessed by the Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Muhammad Zakaullah, Director General Strategic Plans Division, Lieutenant General Zubair Mahmood Hayat, Commander Army Strategic Forces Command, Lieutenant General Obaid Ullah Khan,Vice Admiral Zafar Mehmood Abbasi, Commander Pakistan Fleet, Chairman NESCOM, Mr Muhammad Irfan Burney, senior officers from the strategic forces, scientists and engineers of strategic organisations.

Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Muhammad Zakaullah, congratulated the scientists and engineers for their dedication, professionalism and commitment towards achieving Pakistan's Full Spectrum Credible Minimum Deterrence Capability.

Shaheen-1A with its highly accurate and indigenously developed guidance system is amongst the most accurate Missile System.

He reiterated Pakistan’s desire for peaceful co-existence in the region and appreciated the professional attributes of all concerned towards accomplishment of the sacred mission. He showed his full confidence over the Pakistan Armed Forces’ capability to safeguard security of the Mother Land against any aggression.

The successful test launch has also been warmly appreciated by the President and Prime Minister of Pakistan who congratulated the participating troops, the scientists and engineers on their outstanding achievement.

@Mirza: Mirza Sahab what are we all doing for Thari Children ??? It is not our social and religious responsibility to do something ??? Only criticize and feel happy ???: minimum deterrence is priority of Pakistan to safeguard our national interests and our defense managers are doing very good job in critical situation. But the situation in Tharparkar is very shameful for our Economic Managers, specially Sindh Government and our All Political Parties they are spending millions of rupees for political achievements

These missiles would eliminate the poverty and hunger from Pakistan particularly from Thar.
