SWABI: Internally displaced persons (IDP) of North Waziristan Agency and Khyber Agency have been left helpless at the mercy of the cold, said Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Ameer Sirajul Haq on Sunday. “The government should repatriate them to areas which have been cleared of militants,” added Haq while addressing a news conference at Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Assembly Speaker Asad Qaiser’s house in Marghuz, Swabi. Haq said the IDPs are suffering for the cause of their people while their children have been deprived from education. They are facing hard times in camps and the cold is adding to their miseries, he added. The government should address their issues and quit fighting for political mileage, said Haq. He accused the rulers for striving for their own interests while development in the country is at a standstill.
