Workers and supporters had started gathering at the venue of the rally since the early hours of Sunday to hear their PTI chairman Imran Khan's address.
The PTI has alleged that former Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz MPA Chaudhry Nadeem Khadim’s men fired at the convoy, while on the other hand Khadim blamed the PTI for firing at his house first.
Speaking to Express News, the former PML-N MPA said, “They [PTI] started firing at my house.”
“We held a meeting with PTI and told them we will create no obstacles in their rally,” he said, adding, “However, today they fired at my house which is close to the rally avenue.”
Meanwhile, responding to Khadim’s allegations, PTI leader Dr Arif Alvi questioned whether his workers were injured or people in Khadim’s house.
“Did our people injure themselves?” Alvi questioned, holding the PML-N MPA responsible for the incident.
Alvi warned that the PML-N should “control its Gullu Butts.”
“They will try to create agitation and chaos before our rally in November 30,” Alvi alleged.
Imran has asked PTI workers to descend on Islamabad from across the country for his show of power in the federal capital on November 30.
Three suspects were arrested for firing at the PTI convoy. The men have been identified as Nassir, Talat and Kabeer.
Further, Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has asked authorities to investigate the incident, a Punjab government spokesperson said.
As the PTI sit-in to overthrow the incumbent PML-N government continues in Islamabad, the PTI chairman has been holding rallies in different cities to spread his movement.

Imran visits the injured
The PTI chief after addressing the party's rally in Jhelum visited the injured workers at DHQ.
While an FIR has been lodged in Saddar police station, Imran asked the DPO Jhelum to arrest the culprits involved at the earliest.
PTI member Chaudhry Nadeem Akhtar along with other district office bearers accompanied Imran.

@Javed: it seems that you approve of violence and only your view point is valid
the unfortunate riddling with bullets of 8 or 9 people on their way to the jalsa in Jhelum , thats my home town,
The people responsible for this are well known in the area, are best to be avoided at all cost , they have their own ideas of self importance, any one with a different view point is not tolerated, and they carry their arms to show their strength.they are friends with the police, and are spotted at courts.
Also sharing my own experience with your readers
My father is nearly 80 yrs of age, in the 2013 election he was casting his vote in Jhelum, he was approached by a PMLN worker enquiring for whom he had cast his vote, my father unfortunately told him the truth, that he voted for the bat, for which he received 3 or 4 of the best slaps from the bully, thankfully passers by put an end to his merciless beating of an old man, the very same old man that has taught me respect for elders, telling the truth and following the right path and respecting everybody else's view.
THIS IS WHAT THE NATION IS FACING, YEARS OF SUPPRESSION AT OUR RULERS' HANDS
@Javed: One has more chances of becoming a pessimist in Pakistan, In Jhelum it is fashionable for PMLN fellows to carry arms.
PMLN will go down very soon InshaAllah
Chaudhry Khadim did not deny firing on the crowd, his statement is that PTI fired first. I guess in Punjab we cannot control the masses as they all have weapons and a hot head. They act first and then they TRY to think. The CM should have resigned on Model Town murder of 14 political/religious workers of PAT; but this is the Pakistan that was NOT visioned by Mohammed Ali Jinnah as he stood for EQUAL JUSTICE FOR ALL and not just selected prosecution.
Go Nawaz Go...
@Javed: Well then your imagination is just as deluded as you are.....
After 94 days of failed dharna & mujras, PTI is proving itself to be a political martyr!
Another Gullu Butt, PML(N) in its true colours, Go Nawaz Go.
@Javed.....you have proved to be "Gullu Butt" of PML-N, shame on you !!!!
@Javed: Did SP Jhelum report to you that IK is behind it? In August PTI's rally was fired upon in Gujranwala by leader of PML-N's Butt Brigade. IK ordered that too?
What gives, PML-N?
No sane person would deny the fact that PTI and PAT want dead bodies to create chaos, unrest and civil war. In Islamabad, they attacked government buildings but failed to attain their goals. Now these miscreants have changed their tactics. for now they would attack private properties. They know that respectable people would never tolerate such attacks. They will be responded in the same coin.
These desperate loser may hunt their own supporters to gain sympathies for nothing.Beware parents keep your children away from these thugs.
Incitement to violence + violence makes Imran khan as potent a threat as TTP
Shame on PML N's Gullu Butts. As long the biggest Gullu Butts, Nawaz and Shahbaz, remain, these acts of barbarism will continue. Deeply saddened.
@Asad: Pakistan has always been, is, and will always be in very strong hands. The civil government of the time is nothing but merely a pair of gloves to keep the pious hands clean. This pair can be changed as it wears out or gets soiled.
@Javed: What are you smoking, brother?
this is shame on the name of democracy, first it was Model Town and now its Jehlum, are we living in civilian dictatorship these days, the same attitude was shown by Hosani Mubarak and Qadaffi to there people, this government is a stigma democracy, Gullucracy is not Democracy.
Neither PMLN dares to talk nor they are willing to provide security. Pakistan unfortunately has gone into very weak hands. Very sad state of affairs.
IK .. I never imagined you resort to such cheap tactics.
Hence proved: NS is his own greatest enemy.
Go Nawaz go
None but PMLN is the reason behind the situation
