Leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Imran Khan on Saturday lamented that no institution appeared to be interested in serving the cause of justice as all had thrown their lot with the incumbent government.
Addressing a huge crowd in Sahiwal’s Zafar Ali stadium, he said that his party would not end its protest in Islamabad until justice was served.
“I will not meet the prime minister since I am a most wanted criminal and he will be afraid of me,” said Imran, adding that he would also not end his party’s Islamabad sit-in until an inquiry commission is set up to probe the massive fraud in the 2013 general elections.
“From the courts to the election commission and from parliament to all powerful stakeholders of the country, no institution has served us with justice in the last 17 months,” said the PTI chief. The election tribunal which was supposed to give us justice in a matter of four months is also silent while Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz is only planning to buy out our members, he said.
He was of the view that columnists, anchor persons and media giants are criticising the PTI on the instructions of the PML-N, and have totally neglected the fact that PTI is actually fighting for the rights of Pakistani citizens.
Imran regretted that no one was ready to share the responsibility of his party’s efforts for justice and warned that the judicial system would be responsible if his efforts get torpedoed under the dictatorial and dynastic politics of Pakistan.
On being labelled “the most wanted criminal” without having ever committed a crime, he asked as to why Nawaz Sharif and Shahbaz Sharif had never been tried in any case — ranging from money laundering to terrorism — saying that all courts are silent against them.
“The parliamentary leaders of PML-N are appreciating the police system in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa. They have openly admitted that the system is 1,000 times better than the police system in Punjab,” said the PTI chief.
“We are also going to launch exemplary health services in K-P next week,” he added.
Justifying the approaching of the Supreme Court by the K-P chief minister, he said that the federation is not facilitating us in any case. “Three million IDPs were their responsibility and the centre has blocked our financial share in revenge now.”
He claimed that the prime minister had limited himself to Punjab that is why other provinces are complaining against the dictatorial and dynastic democracy being practised in the country today. Imran said that K-P is ready to hold local government elections but the election commission is not ready to conduct elections in the province.
Earlier, Awami Muslim League president Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed addressed the gathering and congratulated them over the resignation of Maryam Nawaz, saying that soon more resignations will be coming from other Sharif family members.
He revealed that the government had approached him through Muttahida Qaumi Movement’s leader Babar Ghauri, offering him the position of opposition leader as a reward for breaking his alliance with the PTI.

Love you Imran Khan... you are Pakistan Khan.

Great man! just stay away from mulvis and mulvi parsat e.g. Sheikh Rashid....
Should a national leader like Imran be pitting provinces against each other? He has turned in to a real disappointment. The lesser he speaks, better it is for him.
Yes Imran will serve exemplary health services after providing school kids with exemplary textbook revised by JI.
Why launch anything in KPK Imran Khan? After all everything is rigged according to you. Just go into your container and keep complaining and try to drag Pakistan down. That is the best you can do. You think you are above the law and that no one else or the country matters. Your arrogance and being stubborn is turning off Pakistanis more and more.
of course no institution or even an individual who is beneficiary of this status quo will budge, that's who they all plunder and thrive.... no one will rock the boat, its ordinary people who will have to keep rocking the boat until it tilts over Go Nawaz Go, Go Corrupt system Go
What else you can do except sitting like old people and criticizing whoever passes by. You are no different than those retired cricketers who have no jobs.
IK stated that "no institution appear to be interested in serving the cause of justice as all have thrown their lot with the incumbent government" Correct, but this epidemic started long before this goverment and won't end even if this goverment goes tomorrow - the whole system is sick. And that "PM had limited himself to punjab" Wrong, corruption in punjab has become a part like body and blood.
