On track: Senate committee discusses business train’s affairs

The Senate Standing Committee on Railways on Saturday discussed the affairs of a business train being operated from Lahore to Karachi. The committee met at the Railways Headquarter under Senator Mir Muhammad Ali Rind.


It also took up matters related to Royal Palm Club and arranging anti-terrorism training for Railway Police. The issue of Railway Court Yard was also discussed.

Minister for Railways Khwaja Saad Rafique updated members of the committee in this regard. He stressed the need for acting against those travelling in trains without tickets.

The minister said that efforts were underway to streamline the railway’s Legal Department.
