
An anti-terrorism court on Saturday sentenced six people to a total of 186 years in prison for kidnapping a property dealer for ransom. The court also ordered confiscation of their property.
The prosecution told the court of Abdur Rauf Khan that Zakir, Yasir, Liaquat, Samiullah, Gul Muhammad and Hazrat Hussain had kidnapped property dealer Muhammad Asif from Peshawar.
He said a house was raided in the jurisdiction of Badabher police station on June 24, 2013 and the kidnapped man was rescued. Police arrested six suspects during the operation.
The prosecutor told the court that the kidnappers asked for a massive ransom and kept the property dealer in confinement for several days.
