MQM chief warns of ruthless revolution
Altaf says country ruined by corruption; country has a flawed system that needs complete overhaul.
KARACHI:
MQM chief Altaf Hussain has said that the country’s base has been ruined by corruption and profiteering while the masses have been deprived of their basic necessities.
“If the situation persists, the rulers might place an advertisement in the international media making appeals to take the country on lease or contract so that it could survive,” he remarked.
The MQM supremo was addressing a congregation of party leaders, legislators and activists at Tariq Ground in Federal B Area on Friday.
He said the situation called for a ruthless revolution and MQM would do justice through such a revolution. “The students must prepare themselves for a decisive action,” he said.
“The rulers have been begging for aid and our foreign policy was also compromised to fulfill the wishes of the IMF but the MQM, if returned to power, would ensure that the foreign policy was not crafted at the whims of others.”
The country, he said, had a flawed system, which needed a complete overhaul. Only then will the country become strong enough to start giving aid to the poorer nations.
The people of the country, the youth and the students have for long been waiting for MQM’s call for a ruthless revolution. The time has come and within twinkling of an eye people would get out of their homes for a do-and-die game, he said. The feudal lords would lose all they have today in that event, he added.
Those who have looted the country’s assets and wealth must note that MQM would not spare them when in power and would recoup the plundered wealth. The palaces of the feudal lords would be distributed among the homeless and items of luxury sold to help the less privileged.
He said it’s time MQM and its workers cared for nothing for bringing a revolution in the country similar to the French revolution.
He said it was MQM that had altered the demography of Hyderabad and Karachi within a few years during their administrative control of the two cities and they would transform the country into a developed and self-reliant one when it assumes power.
He announced that MQM has received a record number of hides of sacrificial animals this Eidul Azha. Even people living on the islands had dispatched hides to MQM through boats.
