Sindh Information Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon sprang to the defence of provincial Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah on Thursday, rubbishing the allegations levelled at the latter by the Muttahida Qaumi Movement.
Dismissing the MQM allegations as “baseless”, he advised the party’s leaders to refrain from point scoring on the issue of Thar. He pointed out that the MQM office bearers had themselves enjoyed ministries of their choice during the tenure of almost every other government.
“The parties should sincerely feel the problems faced by people of Thar, and should not politicise a natural calamity,” he asserted.
Praising the Sindh chief minister, Memon said: “Qaim Ali Shah is a seasoned politician and knows well how to tackle the crises situation in Thar.”

Bilawal Bhutto Zardari head of PPP-Z...........where are you ?
We need a younger...more energetic man to be the CM of this progressive province. Somebody who can man up to the responsibilities and deliver. Who will not bicker about issues but go to Thar and solve issues in minutes, hours and days....not months and years!!
Qaim Ali Shah has outgrown little too many seasons don't you think so? He seriously should bestow his responsibilities to a younger person who can at least run around and get things done. Who is able go twice to the same place, to stand in the sun just to see its done.
"“The parties should sincerely feel the problems faced by people of Thar, and should not politicise a natural calamity,” he asserted."
Is he referring to PPP as a natural calamity?? Because that would make perfect sense...
The pseduo secular parties gnawing at each other while infants are dying, not that we expected anything different from these two sides of a coin
