A delegation of Pakistani companies will visit Sweden from November 24-29 to hold meetings with experts and companies from green technology and renewable energy to explore opportunities for partnerships and joint ventures. Of the total energy consumed in Sweden in 2013, more than 50% came from renewable sources excluding nuclear energy, which accounted for 14.9% of total consumption. “Sweden has a wide range of unique solutions that could make a major contribution to overcoming Pakistan’s energy crisis in a step-by-step manner,” said Swedish Ambassador to Pakistan Tomas Rosander.

Pakistan is energy starved and needs to overcome the energy crises as soon as possible, policy of pursuing the energy mix policy including the nuclear and alternative energy sources are sensible. Pakistan should invite the foreign investors to open the new ways of economic progress.
Pakistan is an energy starved nation. Massive power cuts, frequent disruption in power supply has made its industry vulnerable to economic collapse. It is most important for energy exports to reach out the other nations with expertize in energy sector. It most important contemporary challenge for Pakistan.
Pakistan has really experienced a rattling kind of energy crisis from couple of decades. The energy shortage made everyone to suffer from top to bottom. This is a prosperous move that corporate sector of Pakistan in addition to the Government also heading towards the fill in the gap between energy demand and supply. Extending hand of cooperation towards Sweden would be fruitful to get rid of this grave energy crisis. Pakistan is in a voyage of engaging many foreign energy channel to beat up the dreadful crisis.
It is the moment where Pakistani move for extending its hands towards Sweden in the energy cooperation domain must be appreciated. Currently Pakistan is passing through energy turmoil and is in dire need of fulfilling its rising energy demands and that can only be possible if other countries show optimism in cooperation with Pakistan. As far as the case of nuclear power is concerned than Pakistan is having itself a very mature and compartmentalized nuclear power establishment. Pakistan is having experience of operating power plants for the last forty tears. On the other hand China is also supporting the country on the nuclear power front. So if nuclear power is excluded then it would not make any difference to Pakistan as country is itself excelling in the respective field.
Pakistan is grappling with an energy crisis of epic proportions. Decisions taken today like the one we are having with Swedish will make an impact a couple of years later. Also power plants that are going to be built in Karachi with help of china will be of utmost importance to get rid of these energy crises. It is because if the government does not bite the bullet now, then it might as well be waiting for nothing.
