Illegal: Two arrested for printing counterfeit currency
Fake certificates and degrees of several public universities seized.

The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) arrested two members of an international gang on Thursday for printing counterfeit currency, passports and educational degrees.
FIA Punjab Director Usman said printing machinery had also been seized from Muhammad Asif and Muhammad Nadeem during a raid at Sheikh Hindi Market near Bhati Gate.
He said the gang had caused a huge loss to the national exchequer by printing counterfeit currency, judicial papers and revenue stamps.
He said it was also found involved in printing fake weapons licences, vehicle registration books, passports and visa stickers.
Fake certificates and degrees of University of the Punjab, the University of Engineering and Technology, letterheads of the Home Department and federal government departments have also been seized from Asif and Nadeem.
