An elderly man died when he was run over by a motorcycle in Chota Lahor area of Swabi on Wednesday. Two police constables riding on the motorcycle also sustained severe injuries in the mishap.
A police official said constables Faisal Murab and Nasir Younus of the Frontier Reserve Police were returning to Police Lines after escorting polio vaccination teams. The policemen plowed their vehicle into an old man in Shakh area of Chota Lahor. Zaipur Khan, who was crossing the road at the time, died on the spot.
The constables also sustained severe injuries when the motorcycle slipped out of their control as a result of the collision and skidded along the road.
