Murad Ali Shah takes oath as Sindh minister

KARACHI: Just days after being elected into the Sindh Assembly, Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) MPA Murad Ali Shah was administered the oath of a minister by Sindh Governor Dr Ishratul Ebad Khan on Thursday.

Shah is expected to be handed the finance portfolio.

He was declared an unopposed winner from PS-73 (Jamshoro) by-election earlier this week.

Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah, cabinet members, diplomats, lawmakers and bureaucrats of the provincial government attended the ceremony held at the Governor House.

The MPA had taken oath as a member of Sindh Assembly on Tuesday.

Previously an adviser to the CM, Shah had surrendered his Canadian citizenship and submitted relevant documents in the court to contest the elections.
