Four people, including a suspected criminal, were shot dead in separate acts of violence in the city on Wednesday.
A man identified as 33-year-old Daulat Khan was killed while his nephew Baz Muhammad was injured in firing near Vita Chowrangi within the limits of the Korangi Industrial Area police station. An unidentified young man was also shot dead during the incident. The police said that Daulat and Baz were residents of Korangi’s Bilal Colony and used to deal in old cars.
They added that the two were going somewhere when armed men opened fire at them. Police officials claim that the unidentified man might have been one of the attackers who was killed in firing by one of his companions.
In an unrelated incident, the body of a young man was found in the bushes near National Highway within the limits of the Bin Qasim police station. Police officials said that the deceased was probably killed after being kidnapped by unidentified men who shot him multiple times before dumping the body.
Separately, 34-year-old Aftab was killed in a crossfire between the police and robbers in Block 16, FB Area within the limits of the Yousuf Plaza police station. The police claimed that the robbers were trying to escape after breaking into and robbing the house of a man identified as Saleem.
