"Pakistan has several problems that it cannot fix in one day. The electricity problem is one which will take several years to solve. There is no quick fix solution," said Nawaz before departing for London from Berlin, Germany.
The premier, while addressing a press conference in Berlin on Wednesday, spoke about his brief visit to China and the various documents that were signed with the Chinese president.
"While I was in China, huge developments were made through which we will hopefully eradicate load-shedding in Pakistan," he said.
"China is supporting Pakistan," said Nawaz, adding that the agreements signed with the Chinese president will be a 'game changer for Pakistan'.
Referring to military operations against banned outfits, the premier said he is trying to change the global perception about Pakistan. "As soon as there is something related to terrorism, fingers are pointed at Pakistan first. We want to change this. Today, Pakistan is engaged in a war on terror which people should support," said Nawaz.
Further, he spoke about how the rupee has strengthened in the country, and hit out at Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chief Imran Khan in this regard.
"Prior to the dharnas, the rate of the rupee was at Rs99 against the dollar. After the dharnas, it rose to Rs104," he said.
"First talk about building a 'Naya Khyber-Pakhtnkhwa', then talk about building a 'Naya Pakistan'," the prime minister added.
Additionally, the premier spoke about improving relations with neighbouring countries such as India and Afghanistan.

The term "energy crisis" has always been misleading - the core issue has always been financial - your not running some of your current power plants at capacity because you can't afford the fuel and/or operating cost. Additional power plants maybe part of the long term solution .. but if you can't operate what you already have at capacity then how are you going to operate the new ones?
It finally dawned on the PM that the country has an energy crises and words wont make a mend of it. He would need to do something about it. I wonder if he has any sensible plan for it.
So in fact what he's saying is ...... he feels the Chinese projects won't really work '....but he'll be long gone, fat and happy.
The two rightwing parties supported and endorsed by TTP were going to end corruption in 30 to 90 days and power crisis in six months. Now it is proven that they were all lying through their teeth. Nobody can force me not to add water to the milk that I have been doing for seven generations. Similarly nobody can create major powerhouse all of a sudden. Now that they could not eliminate corruption from KPK or produce more power they are all starting to tell the truth. The poor naïve people who believe the false promises of these rich and powerful. The only prompt way to control the energy crisis was rental power plants but that did not go anywhere! The common sense says if you cannot build in a hurry rent it like millions of households and businesses rent their offices and homes.
@Grace: But shahbaz said he will fix it in 6 months? Why should I give nawaz one year when pmln were going to fix it in 6 months? :)
Also, if he really wants foreign investment in pakistan, why doesn't he invest his own money in pak instead of UK and Saudi?
@JB Political arena there's is a saying "Promise any thing and everything, But deliver None". Probably, Mr. Shahbaz said in view of the above phrase. But we think each and every Pakistani knew from the day one, it's not humanly possible. You can't cover years of back long in days.
@Saeed: At least this government is trying to fix the energy crisis rather than pull others down. The mantra of PTI is to destabilize the country as much as possible in order to gain power but Nawaz Sharif is wisely ignoring IK's behavior and moving ahead with plans to improve country. Musharraf did not add 1 MW electricity in 10 years dictatorship. How can Nawaz Sharif fix it in 1 year? Give him a chance. At least he is trying and not dancing in dharna.
@Sabir Hameed Population control is key to solve several problems of the country. In Pakistan to control the population it is being tried the wrong way.
The right way is to provide lively hood security by giving pensions and unemployment allowance then it will take its natural course to control the population. At present common man is compelled to have children for sake of their old age, sickness and unemployment times.
In West every one is guaranteed for pension, unemployment etc so their population is controlled automatically. Here in Pakistan millions are spent on population control program and is burden on national Exchequer.
The chinese will solve the energy problems in Pakistan, I have asked the military to go to the tribal territory to displace the population and again resettle them instead of useless military exercises in the barracks or play grounds, the Americans have promised their salaries, we cannot control the natural floods but have the promise from the Saudis a good share of zakat. I will do my best as a travelling Prime Minister to promote a favourable perception of the country when I visit my dwellings in the UK.

Nobody in world would truly suggest Pakistan to solve electricity shortage before Pakistani People are ready to control population. Otherwise it will go to 300 millions within 5 years. That is why Gov't after Gov't passing time until people understand the danger of food shortage problem for 300 millions. People have to do something to control population other than relying all on Allah. Allah has made men leader on earth. Its human being job to think about simple logical problem. Otherwise Allah can control the population by other means if Pakistanis are determined to increase it beyond the capacity of the land they have. Some virus will control them if they don't understand and behave just like stupid fool hardies.
I thought load shedding was to be finished in six months; otherwise shahbaz sharif's name was to be changed! Any suggestions people?
Enjoy your jounts and blame the dharna. That seems to be the PML mantra.
