US drone fires two missiles on a vehicle and a compound

PESHAWAR:  At least four suspected militants were killed and three others injured Tuesday evening in a US drone attack on Data Khel area of North Waziristan.

Reports from far flung Data Khel area revealed that US drone fired two missiles on a vehicle and a compound. As a result of the strikes, the vehicle and a portion of the house were destroyed while four alleged miscreants were killed and three sustained injuries.

The officials, through informer reports, apprised that all killed and injured were on board when the vehicle was hit by US drone missile. The identity of those killed and injured has not yet been ascertained, however, tribesmen informed that they were local and foreign militants.

The armed forces are engaged in military action Zarb-e-Azb against militants across North Waziristan from June 15, 2014. High-ups of both army and civil administration are claiming success of the military action and have informed that more than 80 per cent area of the area has been cleared of militants.
