KARACHI:
At least 1,000 more ex-army soldiers will be recruited into the police force, it was decided at a high-level meeting held at the central police office on Monday. The meeting, chaired by AIG Ghulam Qadir Thebo, revealed that if the 10,000 vacancies proposed to be added to the Sindh police by the Sindh IG materialised, it would allow Karachi to have 37,000 policemen instead of 26,181.
