Bilateral Ties: Korean mission to host speech contest

KARACHI: The Korean mission in Karachi will organise its second Korean language speech contest in an attempt to maximize the cultural and educational exchange between the two countries. This will be the second consecutive year that the mission will host such a contest. This year’s speech contest will be held at the Alliance Française, Karachi’s French cultural centre, on November 15 at 9am. Such exchanges are of utmost importance and paramount to strengthening bilateral relations between Korea and Pakistan, said a press statement. A total of 26 children will be participating in the contest, including 14 Pakistani students, 10 Koreans and two others from different nationalities. The statement added that the future rests with children and it is our responsibility to provide them the platforms where they can shine and learn the importance of having the understanding and knowledge of other languages and cultures in this modern age.
