RAWALPINDI: Woes of traders operating in China Market were highlighted on Tuesday when the Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) President Syed Asad Mashadi visited the locality on the invitation of the market’s traders’ association president Tariq Khan Jadoon. Mashadi said efforts are afoot to eliminate problems faced by the business community in conducting trade with China. The RCCI chief said the city is used as a trade corridor for trade with China, Afghanistan, Central Asian States and Kashmir, and that after Gawadar-Khunjarab rail and road links, this region will become a trading hub of South Asia. Absence of parking plazas and encroachment, according to Mashadi, were the main issues hurting businesses in the market. He vowed to take up the issues with the relevant authorities and take every possible measure to resolve it at the earliest.
