President of the Pakistan Hindu Sikh Social Welfare Council, Jagmohan Arora, announced on Monday to boycott a Diwali function today in protest against the Kot Radha Kishan incident near Lahore in which a mob brutally lynched a Christian couple over alleged blasphemy. The official celebrations will be hosted by the Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony Sardar Mohammad Yousaf at the Pakistan National Council of the Arts. In a message released to the media, Arora said the government was still silent on the killings on October 29, adding that the minister had not uttered a word against the incident.
