The house of an ex-army officer was robbed in broad daylight, said a media report on Monday.


Colonel (retired) Muhammad Latif lodged a complaint with the local police that three armed robbers broke into his house on Tipu Road and held the family members hostage.


They looted Rs20,000 cash, jewellery, mobile phones, ATM cards and other valuables and fled in Latif’s own vehicle (QX-248).


The police registered a case against the robbers but no arrests or recoveries have been made yet.


A police official investigating the case said they were investigating the case and looking for the culprits.
