PESHAWAR: Four members of the Afghan national karate team were briefly held on Monday by Kutwali police owing to a lack of documents.

“Police found four Afghan nationals and they were taken to the local police station when they failed to produce documents,” DSP Kutwali Sahibzada Sajjad told The Express Tribune.

@syedpk: It is possible that they were no carrying their ID's at the particular time and had left it in their hotel. The article says that Police VERIFIED their claim and released them. That is more than enough. Please don't jump to conclusions. You could have also thought that they infiltrated the border of Pakistan with the help of TTP. Imagination at its best.

@Raghu Justice would have meant they being deported or jailed. Pakistan and Afghanistan dont ahve free border regime, that means whatever the reason the person committed a felony by illegally crossing the border. Therefore should be punished.
