Session: Students briefed on harassment law

RAWALPINDI: Fatima Jinnah Women University (FJWU) on Friday held an awareness-raising session on protection against harassment of women at workplace law in collaboration with the Leadership for Environment and Development (LEAD) Pakistan. LEAD General Manager Tahir Rasheed highlighted the need to raise public awareness of the Protection against Harassment of Women at Workplace Act 2010. He said Federal Ombudsman Secretariat (FOS) Deputy Director Communication Shahrukh Abbasey spoke on the role of ombudsman in creating safe and healthy workplace. He discussed different clause of the law and said that all organisations are required to ensure its implementation. He also briefed the participants about the functioning of the Federal Ombudsman Secretariat and its complaint registration process.
