MARDAN:

Begum Nasim Wali, the chairperson of breakaway faction ANP-Wali, has filed a case in Mardan sessions court seeking her share in her ancestral Hoti House currently being occupied by former CM Amir Haider Hoti.

While addressing the media after filing the case in the court of additional sessions Judge Safiullah Khan on Friday, Begum Nasim said her nephew Amir Hoti has no legal claim to Hoti House as it is the property of four sisters, including her, and their brother.

Flanked by her counsel Advocate Sibghatullah, Begum Nasim said she would not give up her struggle to obtain her share of her father’s property from the people who have “occupied it illegally.”

Her counsel Sibghatullah told the media the sessions court has summoned Amir Hoti to appear in court on November 15.

Amir Hoti is the son of Senator Azam Hoti, Begum Nasim’s bother. The Hoti family has been rife with internal disputes since 2003 when Begum Nasim was removed from her post as the provincial president of ANP, after the party suffered a humiliating defeat in the 2002 general elections.

Later, Senator Azam Khan Hoti was reportedly expelled from Hoti House. In June, the senator filed a complaint with Sheikh Maltoon police against his son, saying Amir stopped him from entering the residence.
